Call for PhD Forum Papers

The PhD Forum will be held as part of the 27th International Conference on Modelling, Analysis and Simulation of Wireless and Mobile Systems to be held in Barcelona, Spain, October 27-31 2025. The colloquium serves as a forum for young researchers to present their research work in a friendly and supportive environment, to gain feedback and advice from established researchers in the field. The forum provides an opportunity for researchers at all stages of their research education to be able to discuss and explore their topics, approach and methodology; to network and start building valuable connections with both experienced researchers as well as fellow students for their future research career.

PhD students with accepted presentations will have to present their work in a plenary session of the main MSWIM event. Presenters at the PhD Forum will register using Student Discounted fees to the main MSWIM event and thereby also have access to the main conference as well as the satellite symposia and workshops. Submissions will be reviewed by a committee of experienced researchers who will judge the maturity of the project account to ascertain that the presented work is at a stage ready to stimulate discussions and feedback. The work should be at a level mature enough to become the major component of a PhD dissertation.

Submission

Submissions should be limited to an extended abstract of maximum 2 pages, double column, IEEE style including tables, figures, and references. A template for IEEE Proceedings style (LaTeX2e and MS Word) can be found here.
